About Us
We Are Queens is a Gen-Z led 501(c)3 nonprofit women’s empowerment organization. We are a national network of dancers on college campuses committed to redefining the “starving artist” myth through community building & professional development.
We were founded in 2019 via a 30-day social media challenge called "Bridging The G-A-P" (One thing you are Grateful for, one positive Affirmation, and one thing you are Proud of).
Since then, we have recognized the challenges college-aged women dancers face: a cut-throat industry, imposter syndrome, and the post-graduation “starving artist myth”. Our solution? Student-led chapters on college campuses to promote inclusion and mental health awareness coupled with professionally-led national events such as Monthly Roundtables, Redefine: The Career Crash Course, and The Mentor Network.
